Sunshine Coast University Hospital wins AIA Sunshine Coast Regional Award.

29 May 2017

The Sunshine Coast University Hospital by Architectus and HDR Rice Daubney has received the Gabriele Pool Award for Building of the Year in the Australian Institute of Architects Sunshine Coast Regional Awards. The project also received a Regional Commendation and the People’s Choice Award.

The hospital and health institute is a major public facility for the region but manages to retain a casual coastal character in its architecture and public places. It is a delight to see the hospital being used and enjoyed by staff, patients, visitors and students.

For the large architectural team that worked on the project it is a pleasure to receive this recognition from the Sunshine Coast community and our peers.
