The School of Natural and Rural Systems Management

This project for the School of Natural and Rural Systems Management at the University of Queensland Gatton Campus included the design and construction of a new wing and the refurbishment of an existing building.

The design of the new wing took into account the need to minimise the footprint of the building and preserve the spatial quality of the central precinct, reinforcing the existing circulation routes and thresholds.

Materials used in the new building respect the established pallet of brick and concrete, and introduce alternative glazing and sunscreen elements to the campus.

The building complements the existing visual rigour and orthogonal planning of the campus and marks the next stage of development within the campus.
